- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for the following:1 ea. Sammi 6.7.7 FE+ Linux RedHat 5 with maintenance 12 ea. Sammi 6.7.7 RTE Linux RedHat 5 with maintenance.NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from Kinesix Software pursuant to FAR 13.106, forthe acquisition of supplies or services to be determined to be reasonably available fromonly one source. Magnetospheric Multiscale (MMS) Project is using the AdvancedSpacecraft Integration and System Test (ASIST) as the spacecraft Command and Telemetry(T&C) system throughout all mission phases. The ASIST T&C requires the SAMMI Runtimesoftware license for user to run graphical, interactive displays of real-time data onworkstations. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact no later than 2:30PM EST on February 6, 2012. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose ofdetermining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis.Adetermination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretionof the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable.
