- This is a special notice, not a request for any quote, proposal, or an invitation for bid. The intent of this notice is to obtain industry comments and knowledge for the purpose of assessing the availability of qualified sources. The U.S. Army Assistant Project Manager (APM) Medical Simulation (MedSim) is seeking supply sources for the Virtual Patient System (VPS) Trauma Moulage Kits. The NAICS code is 326299. The small business size standard in number of employees is 500. Responses to this sources sought notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought notice, if the Government still plans to proceed with the acquisition, a solicitation announcement will be published on either www.fbo.gov or GSA Schedule. No solicitation is currently available. It is the potential Offeror's responsibility to monitor this site for future synopsis/solicitation as they will not be notified. Please refer to the attached draft Statement of Work (SOW), the associated VPS Trauma Moulage Kit requirements (Appendix A), and draft Shipping Data Sheet for details of this requirement. The Offeror must be able to supply ALL components of the VPS Trauma Moulage Kit. Interested Offerors, either large or small business, having the skills and capabilities necessary to perform the stated requirement are invited to provide information to contribute to this market survey/sources sought, including commercial market information and company information via e-mail to Mr. Chi 'Tony" Pham at chi.pham@us.army.mil; and Mr. Matthew Edson at matthew.j.edson@us.army.mil no later than 5 p.m. EST on 9 February 2012. RESPONSES SHOULD INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION: company name, address, point of contact, phone number, e-mail address, and information about your skills and capabilities necessary to perform the stated requirement. Please identify whether your firm is a large or small business, and if small business, what type (i.e. Women-owned, 8(a), Service Disable Veteran Owned, etc.). Please direct any questions or concerns to Mr. Chi 'Tony" Pham at chi.pham@us.army.mil. This notice is to assist the APM MedSim in determining potential sources only. This sources sought notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for the information solicited. No basis for claim against the Government shall arise as a result of a response to this notice.
