- The Norfolk District is offering for sale approximately 545.5 tons of standing hardwood sawtimber, 44.5 tons of standing hemlock sawtimber, 211.8 Tons standing hardwood pulpwood, and 79.8 tons of standing hemlock pulpwood on approximately 43 acres at Letterkenny Army Depot. Approximately 75 tons of standing dead hardwood has also been marked for removal. The total number of items for this sale is one (1). The timber to be sold may be inspected by prospective purchasers through 21 February, 2012. Arrangements for inspections should be made by contacting Mr. Craig Kindlin, telephone (717) 267-8832 at Letterkenny Army Depot or Mr. Paul Carter, telephone (757) 201-7822, or (757) 613-7848 (cell) with the Norfolk District Corps of Engineers. Sealed bids will be accepted until 2:00 p.m., 23 February, 2012, by the Acquisition, Management and Disposal Section, Real Estate Office, Norfolk District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, 803 Front Street, Norfolk, Virginia 23510-1096, and then and there publicly opened and announced. Forms for use in submitting bids may be obtained from Mr. Craig Kindlin, Letterkenny Army Depot, or Mr. Carter at the Acquisition, Management and Disposal Section, address shown above. Terms and conditions of sale, procedure for submitting bids, and a description of the timber are contained in the bid forms. This sale will be sold by Lump Sum.
