Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement to procure Commercial-Off-The-Self (COTS) Directional Finding (DF) Receiver / Processor equipment. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Air Traffic Organization, Facilities/Technical Operations, is conducting a Market Survey to determine interest in providing the above service. This announcement is not a screening information request (SIR) or request for proposal (RFP) of any kind. It is for information and planning purposes and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. Further, the FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. This market survey is also being conducted in order to obtain the information necessary to determine whether adequate competition exists to set-aside the competition to service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses or 8(a) certified firms. Respondents must provide their strategy for accomplishing all deliverables as stated in the Statement of Work (SOW). The NAICS code for this requirement is: 334511, Search, Detection, Navigation, Guidance, Aeronautical and Nautical Systems and Instrument Manufacturing with a size standard of 750 employees The FAA will not pay for any costs associated with the preparation of responses or information provided in response to the Market Survey, nor reimburse or otherwise pay any costs incurred by any party responding to this announcement. Therefore, any costs associated with the Market Survey submission are solely at the interested parties' expense. Any information provided under this request for information is for informational purposes only and will not be released to the public. Any proprietary information submitted must be adequately marked as proprietary and will be protected accordingly. The interested vendor's response must be submitted no later than 2:00 P.M. Eastern Time on February 14, 2012. All responses to this Market Survey must be in writing, on company letterhead, and must demonstrate that the company can meet the requirements provided above. Limit responses to 5 pages and include a Business Declaration Form (Attached) and Copy of SBA 8(a) Certification Letter.
