- Description
- USCG, Surface Forces Logistics Center, C&PD2-LREPL in Oakland, CA, proposes to contract for Dry-dockside and Repairs of CGC BOUTWELL (WHEC 719), a 378' cutter, home moorage in San Diego, CA. The period of performance to accomplish this requirement is 22 May 2012 through 16 July 2012. Work may include, but is not limited to the following: hull plating, underwater body, inspect; hull plating underwater body, ultrasonic testing; ammunition hoists level 2 inspect, repair & test; appendages (underwater) leak test; appendages (underwater) internal, preserve; tank (oily water), clean & inspect; fathometer transducer, general maintenance; sea strainers - duplex (all sizes), overhaul; potable water pneumatic tanks, clean & inspect; potable water system relief valve, overhaul or renew; hot water accumulator tanks, clean & inspect; fuel manifold overhaul; rudder assembly, remove, inspect and reinstall; rudders, preserve (100%); rudder stock bearing, check clearances; anchor chains and ground tackle, inspect and repair; drydocking; temporary services, provide, sea trail performance, provide support; superstructure, preserve partial. A geographical restriction of 75 road miles within the cutter's home moorage applies under this requirement. The NAICS code assigned to this procurement will be 336611 with a size standard of less than 1,000 employees. On or about 09 February 2012, a Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available electronically at http://www.fbo.gov. Only one award will be made to the responsible offeror whose proposal, conforming to the solicitation, is determined to be the best value to the Government The solicitation, specifications and other pertinent information will be posted at www.fbo.gov. In order to open and download the specifications offerors must be registered at www.fbo.gov. Offerors are encouraged to register immediately as authorization to access the documents may take up to 48 hours from the time of registration. Drawings may be requested through www.fbo.gov.
