- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to procure Mobile Maintenance Facilities (MMF) to be used to support the testing and operation of various avionics gear by the Marine Corps in training and expeditionary scenarios. The MMF is a mobile habitable shelter that is eight (8) feet wide by twenty (20) feet long by eight (8) feet high. We intend to procure one First Article Test (FAT) unit of each type (#1339AS500-1, 1339AS501-1, 1339AS700-1, 1339AS900-1, 1339AS1000-1, 1339AS1100-1) for production testing by the contractor. Upon successful completion of the required shelter testing, the Government intends to place orders on a Firm-Fixed-Price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) type contract of up to a total of approximately 400 production units over a five-year period. The FAT units will constitute the minimum quantity on the contract with a maximum amount of 400 additional production units. The solicitation will be posted on the NAVAIR homepage located at http://www.navair.navy.mil. Select "Business Opportunities" and then "Open Solicitations". Look for amendments to the solicitation on the NAVAIR webpage as well. The solicitation will be posted on the webpage on or about 20 April 2012. Hard copies of the solicitation and amendments will NOT be mailed to the contractors. The applicable requirements documents will not be made available until after release of the solicitation. The government will not accept proposals that are submitted via facsimile or electronically via e-mail.
