- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command intends to enter into sole source negotiations using Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 provisions with Rolls Royce Corporation. The contract will consist of a base and four (4) option years for Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) and Technical Engineering Support Services (TESS) for the USMC KC-130J aircraft propulsion system, which includes the AE2100D3 turboprop engine and R391 propeller. The proposed supplies and/or services to be procured under this contract are commercial depot level support of these engines (Power by the Hour); technical publications; program management; engine and propeller management; configuration management; field service support; technical data management; engine/Weapons Replaceable Assembly (WRA)/component repair; supply support, WRA and component packaging. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 336412 and the small business size standard is 1,000 employees. There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties in support of the effort mentioned above. Information provided above is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for or award a contract. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Unless otherwise stated herein, no additional written information is available. Request for the same will be disregarded. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.
