Description
Animal Feed- Rodent Diet SOW This is a Small Business Sources Sought notice. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding: (1) the availability and capability of qualified small business sources; (2) whether they are small businesses; HUBZone small businesses; service-disabled, veteran-owned small businesses; 8(a) small businesses; veteran-owned small businesses; woman-owned small businesses; or small disadvantaged businesses; and (3) their size classification relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the proposed acquisition. Your responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible. An organization that is not considered a small business under the applicable NAICS code should not submit a response to this notice. The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), Research Triangle Park, NC, is conducting a MARKET SURVEY to determine the interest and capability of small businesses including HUBZone, 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Firms, Small Disadvantaged Business, and Woman-Owned eligible to compete under NAICS 311119 with a Size Standard of 500 Employees interested in providing Rodent Diet Wafers. This contract shall provide Animal Feed/Rodent Diet Wafers, open formula - NIH 31 for a period of one (1) year. The contractor shall provide approximately 14,400 bags (25 lbs/bag) during the one year period. Tractor-trailer load deliveries of 1600 bags per order (80 bags/pallet, 20 pallets/truckload) will be ordered on an as needed basis (generally every one to two months). Packaging shall be in commercially acceptable laminated 50 lb capacity paper bags with 25 lbs of product per bag. The 3-ply laminated bags must withstand autoclaving at 250 degrees for 20 minutes. See the NIEHS Specifications included as an attachment to this notice. This is to be a Firm-Fixed Price Contract for a one (1) year period. Interested firms responding to this market survey must provide the following: (a) Company name, address, phone number, primary contact(s), e-mail address, business classification/size, and DUNS number. (b) Capability statement that demonstrates your experience, skills, and capability to fulfill the Governments requirements. The capability statement shall be in sufficient enough detail so that the Government can determine whether your firm can meet the requirements. (c) References. After a review of the responses received, a pre-solicitation synopsis and solicitation may be published in Federal Business Opportunities.
