Description
Synopsis: This is a Request for Information (RFI) as defined in FAR 15.201(e). The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) is requesting information from all interested parties to make recommendations on necessary or desirable modernization improvements to six traction elevators. Site visits are strongly encouraged and will be available upon request over the period February 6, 2012 through February 10, 2012. Please make scheduling requests seven or more days prior to the date requested. Information responses will be accepted through March 9, 2012. Reclamation is interested in this market research on cost estimates prior to developing specifications. Reclamation anticipates releasing a specification for modernization of the elevators within the next calendar year. There is a possibility that annual and five-year testing support will be included in the specification. Interested parties should review the attached documents and reply no later than March 9, 2012. Proprietary information will be safeguarded in accordance with the applicable Government regulations. Response to the RFI will not be returned and electronic submission is preferred. The six traction elevators were installed in the early 1960s. They are currently in operating condition. Controls were modernized in 1987. The electronic controls installed at that time are obsolete.
