Description
1.Work to be performed: a.Provide Emergency Medical Director/Medical Control/Quality assurance service: i.Pursuant to the Wisconsin Administrative Code, Department of Health and Social Services. The Licensing of ambulance service providers and emergency medical technicians (EMT)-basic. ii.The Fort McCoy Fire and Emergency Division shall adhere to Chapter HFS 110 which directs the department to establish a program to ensure a proper service is being provided within the boundaries of the administrative code. b.Contractor will perform work as follows: i.The project medical director will evaluate the emergency medical program and all emergency medical personnel. ii.Review all documents pertaining to the certification and qualifications of emergency medical personnel providing the service. 4.Special requirements: a.All contractor work shall meet or exceed the standards of WI HFS Chap 110. b.The project medical director means a Wisconsin licensed physician who is designated in an EMT operational plan to be responsible for all of the following off-line medical direction activities: 1) Controlling, directing and supervising all phases of the emergency medical services program operated under the plan and the EMTs, 2) Establishing standard operating protocols for EMTs performing under the plan, and 3) Ensure that evaluation and continuing education activities are consistently carried out and participated in by the hospital or hospitals, physicians, certified training center, ambulance service providers and EMTs in the emergency medical technician program. c.Performing under the plan. Contractor shall be responsible for any and all replacement of any medical training props and equipment. Contractor will maintain all equipment necessary for maintenance and repair. d.Because this is a new contract, it has not been loaded into the CMRA yet; however, the contract does include a requirement for the contractor to report his data into the database.
