- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number W81XE0321T1556 is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) for Communications Equipment at Redstone Arsenal. This is a set-aside 100% for Small Business. The NAICS code is 238210 with the corresponding Small Business Size Standard of $14,000,000. Basis of award: A Firm Fixed Price contract shall be awarded to the contractor whose offer represents the best value to the Government. Paper copies of the Request for Quotation shall not be made available. Items required: The contractor shall provide pricing, to include shipping and warranty, for 250(ea) Nortel M3904 Professional Handsets. Justification for Brand Name Only: The requirement to procure Nortel M3904 handsets is to maintain interoperability with the existing Nortel PBX infrastructure currently utilized within PEO Missiles and Space. Utlizing another model of handset would put the entire infrastructure at risk of corruption or failure as other models are not proven compatible. Price(s) should be FOB Destination (Redstone Arsenal, AL 35898). In addition to price and delivery, quote should include your cage code, DUNS number, and taxpayer ID number. Requested delivery date is 30 days ARO or earlier. Quotations should be emailed to MAJ Jason Baggett (jason.baggett1@us.army.mil) no later than 30 Jan 2012. The anticipated award date is 3 Feb 2012. Please do not request award status prior to this date.
