- Description
- The United States Army Contracting Command - APG, Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland 21005-1846 intends to solicit, negotiate and award a sole source contract with Thales Raytheon Systems (TRS), 1801 Hughes Drive, Fullerton, California 92833 under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, as per Justification and Approval (J&A) Control Number 11-081. A three (3) year Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) and Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee (CPFF), Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract is contemplated for this effort, which is for the acquisition of spare parts and components for the AN/TPQ-36(V)/Q36, AN/TPQ-37(V)/Q37, and AN/TPQ-46(V) FIREFINDER Radar Systems, and for associated repair, engineering, and field technical support services. The minimum guarantee for this acquisition is $1,100,000 with an estimated overall ceiling value of $83,500,000. Market research has determined that only TRS possesses the unique capabilities to satisfy the Government's requirements for this proposed contractual action. TRS owns the proprietary data associated with these radar systems and the Government does not have detailed technical data or drawings that would enable competition for this effort. See Note 22. This synopsis is provided for informational purposes only and is not to be considered a request for proposal (RFP). However, all responses received within fifteen (15) days after the publication of this synopsis shall be considered by the Government. The solicitation number assigned to this requirement is W15P7T-11-R-T203. The solicitation will be issued on or about 8 February 2012, with an estimated contract award date of 27 July 2012.
