- Description
- Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition As posted in the Source Sought Synopsis HSCG40-12-S-00005entitled; "USCG Pratt & Whitney FT4A Gas Generators and Generator Modules Overhaul" dated 09/16/2011, the U.S. Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center, Long Range Enforcer Product Line, will be issuing a solicitation for the Overhaul/repair of Coast Guard owned Pratt & Whitney FT4A Gas Generators and Generator Modules, installed onboard the 378' WHEC class cutters and 400' WAGB class icebreakers. It is anticipated that a firm fixed price, Requirements contract containing one (1) Base Year and four (4) Option Years will be awarded using the procedures outlined in FAR Part 15.101-2. It is the Government's intent to solicit this requirement as unrestricted under NAICS 333611. This requirement must be completed utilizing only genuine Wood Group Pratt & Whitney parts from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). Remanufactured or Aftermarket parts are not acceptable. The solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps on or about February 6, 2012. This date is estimated at best, and it is the contractor's responsibility to monitor FedBizOpps on a regular basis for the solicitation and any amendments.
