- DESCRIPTION: This is a Notice of Intent to make a Sole Source award under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 to Frontier Communications. Frontier Communications is the only known source of telecommunication (LAN) and inter-net service for the Bureau of Indian Affair's Ft. Apache Agency located in rural Arizona. This will be the only notice of the Government's intent to solicit and negotiate with only one source in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 Other Than Full and Open Competition. Firms having the ability to provide this service should notify Glenn Shafer, Contract Specialist, in writing via e-mail at: Glenn.Shafer@bia.gov by 2:00 P.M. MST on February 3, 2012. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
