- NSN 1R-1720-012929873-EY, TDP VER 016, QTY 120 EA, DELIVER TO W25G1U, W1BGDLA DISTRIBUTION, NEW CUMBERLAND, PA 17070-5002, DELIVER TO W62G2T, W1BG DLADISTRIBUTION, TRACY, CA 95304-5000. This part requires engineering sourceapproval by the design control activity in order to maintain the quality of thepart. Existing unique design capability, engineering skills, and manufacturingknowledge by the qualified source(s) require acquisition of the part from theapproved source(s). The approved source(s) retain data rights, manufacturingknowledge, or technical data that are not economically available to theGovernment, and the data or knowledge is essential to maintaining the quality ofthe part. An alternate source must qualify in accordance with the design controlactivity's procedures, as approved by the cognizant Government engineeringactivity. The qualification procedures must be approved by the Governmentengineering activity having jurisdiction over the part in the intendedapplication. The subject item requires Government source approval prior tocontract award, as the item is flight critical and/or the technical dataavailable has not been determined adequate to support acquisition via full andopen competition. Only the source(s) previously approved by the Government forthis item have been solicited. The time required for approval of a new source isnormally such that an award cannot be delayed pending approval of a new source.If you are not an approved source you must submit, together with your proposal,the information detailed in one of the NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUPWSS) Source Approval Information Brochures listed below. Spares:www.neco.navy.mil/sar.aspx Repair: www.neco.navy.mil/sarr.aspx These brochuresidentify the technical data required to be submitted based on your company'sexperience in production of the same or similar item, or if this is an item youhave never made. If your request for source approval is currently beingevaluated at NAVSUP WSS submit with your offer a copy of the cover letter whichforwarded your request for source approval. Offers received which fail toprovide all data required by the Source Approval Brochure or document previoussubmission of all data required by the Source Approval Brochure will not beconsidered for award under this solicitation. Please note, if evaluation of asource approval request submitted hereunder cannot be processed in time and/orapproval requirements preclude the ability to obtain subject items in time tomeet Government requirements, award of the subject requirement may continuebased on Fleet support needs.
