- The Defense Logistics Agency, DLA Maritime Norfolk, Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) Contracting Office, intends to negotiate a Firm Fixed Price contract to procure the following item. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 333993 (Packaging Machinery Manufacturing) and the procurement will be 100% set aside for Small Business. The contract line item is follows: CLIN 0001 Heat Sealing Machine, PFAFF Model #8320-001/001 OR EQUAL with installation and setup and meeting the following salient ordering characteristics: The requested equipment must have the following dimensions: Length shall be 44 inches (1100 mm) Width shall be 28 inches (700 mm) Height shall be 56 inches (1400 mm) Must have clearance between rollers (20mm) Must have clearance width of (480 mm) The requested equipment must not weigh more than 350 lbs. (140 kg) The requested equipment must come equipped with the following wedge sizes: ,.35 , ,.6 , , 1.2 , 1.5 ( 7mm, 9mm, 12mm, 15mm, 20mm, 30mm, 40mm) The requested equipment must have a sealing speed of 30FT/Minute. The requested equipment must have a maximum sealing temperature of 900 degrees F (500 degrees C) The requested equipment must have an input voltage of 230vac single phase 60 hertz, and input power not to exceed 1500 W and a hot wedge heating capacity not to exceed 1000 W The request equipment must have powered upper and lower wheels driven by belts not chains. The requested equipment must be equipped with a one touch screen with 100 percent parameter control. All parameters are to be controlled electronically, and an integrated control board must monitor heat sealing temperature, roller pressure and the motors that control the upper/lower roller. The requested equipment must be equipped with proportional valves which enable adjustment of the roller pressure. The requested equipment must be equipped with adjustable stand height, hand crank to adjust working height. Request selected manufacturer perform delivery, installation and set-up of equipment. The solicitation number is SPMYM1-12-T-0025 and a copy will be posted no later than 20JAN2012. Potential offerors are hereby notified that the solicitation and any subsequent amendments will only be available by downloading the documents at either www.neco.navy.mil or www.fedbizopps.gov, as this office no longer issues hard-copy solicitations. By submitting a proposal, the vendor will be self-certifying that neither it nor its principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any Federal agency. Through its submission, the vendor acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the Central Contract Registration (CCR) database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation, except for award to foreign vendors for work to be performed outside the United States. Lack of registration in the CCR will render the vendor ineligible for award.
