THIS IS A TOTAL 100% SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOSB) SET-ASIDE. The VA Central Iowa Health Care System, (VACIHCS) intends to issue an Invitation For Bid (IFB) to award a single, firm fixed-price contract to provide all tools, materials, equipment and labor necessary for completion of a renovation project, Building 1 West; 5th Floor (general construction project); Project Number 636-345 at the Central Iowa Health Care System, Des Moines, Iowa, in accordance with the drawings and specifications. Work is to be completed within 30 calendar days from the notice to proceed. The solicitation, specifications and drawings for submitting a bid will be available at (http://www.fedbizopps.gov/). The solicitation and all amendments must be obtained through this website. Hard copies will not be mailed. Interested parties must go to the web site to be entered on the Interested Vendors List and/or to obtain copies of the Interested Vendors List. All questions must be submitted in writing to the issuing office via email to (benjamin.smith8@va.gov). Issue date is tentatively scheduled for February 6th, 2012. The pre-bid meeting/site-visit will be announced in the solicitation. Bid opening date is tentatively scheduled for March 6th, 2012 but the exact day may vary depending on issuance of the solicitation. The applicable NAICS Code is 236220, with the applicable size standard being $33.5 million. Cost range is between $100,000 and $200,000.00. All respondents must be registered in the CCR database (http://www.ccr.gov) and complete online Representations and Certifications at (http://orca.bpn.gov), along with Vets 100 at (http://vets.dol.gov/vets100/).
