- DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The purpose of the work is to identify cultural resources affected by the Whoopup Fire, assess the nature of fire damage to the resources, and make recommendations concerning need for site stabilization. In general, site densities in the survey area are high near Whoopup Canyon and drop off to the east and south within the Whoopup Fire area.The cultural resource inventory will locate, record, and assess for damages all cultural resources visible on the surface or in exposed soil locations within the areas designated. Contractor shall prepare a professional report documenting the results of the cultural resource inventory, fire damage assessments, and recommendations for stabilization. Location: Location of Work: The work is for the Bureau of Land Management's Newcastle Field Office, Wyoming. A Class III cultural resource inventory will be conducted within Weston County for a total of 1690 acres located in T44N, R60 W, Sections 29, 30, 31, 32, and 33 and T43N, R60W, Sections 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, and 17 (Fanny Peak and Clifton 7.5' USGS Topographic Quadrangles). All work shall be performed under a single contract. This project has period of performance that will begin with a notice to proceed and end no later than 30 SEP 2012.
