- The Coast Guard's Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC) is announcing a best value negotiatated procurement for accomplishing the FY12 Drydocking and Repairs to CGC SHACKLE (WYTL 65609). This procurement will be a total small business set-aside using commercial procedures. The geographical restriction for this requirement is 195 nautical miles from SHACKLE's homeport in South Portland, ME. Period of Performance will be 05/16/12 - 07/27/12. Foreseeable Costs will be applied in price evaluation. The requirement will result in award of a single firm fixedprice ship repair contract. The current list of work items is as follows: Hull Plating (U/W Body), Ultrasonic Testing Hull and Structural Plating - 3/16" Steel Plate, Repair Hull and Structural Plating - ¼" Steel Plate, Repair Hull and Structural Plating - 3/8 " Steel Plate, Repair Hull and Structural Plating - Degraded Weld (Steel), Repair Appendages (U/W), Leak Test Appendages (U/W) - Internal, Preserve Propulsion Shafting ; Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Propulsion Shafting, Straighten Propeller, Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Propeller, Perform Minor Repairs and Reconditioning Keel Coolers, Clean, Inspect and Hydro Fathometer Transducer, Renew Vent Ducts ( Engine and Motor Room All ), Commercial Cleaning Sea Strainers - Duplex Overhaul & Simplex Renew Rudder Assembly, Remove, Inspect and Reinstall Sewage and Grey Water Tanks, Commercial Clean Decks - Exterior, Preserve ( " Non-Skid Broadcast Grit" System) U/W Body, Preserve "100%" Hull Plating Freeboard, Preserve " 100% " Superstructure, Preserve "100%" Cathodic Protection / Zincs, Renew Drydocking Temporary Services, Provide Bilge s (Machinery Space) - Engine Room, Preserve Bilge s (Machinery Space) - Sewage Pump Void (Fwd), Preserve Bilge s (Machinery Space) - Port Side Sewage Void, Preserve The RFQ (solicitation) will be posted on or about 1/23/12.
