- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) at the FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center has a requirement for: 3D Printer & Supplies for National Airspace System (NAS) Lab Use This is an announcement for a Request for Quote (RFQ) for a 3D Printer and supplies for NAS lab use at the FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center, Atlantic City, New Jersey. SCOPE OF WORK The equipment and shipping provided in the quote shall be in accordance with the following specifications: Build Size10"x10"x12" minimum Soluble vs. breakaway support materialSoluble ColorsOutput 6 colors minimum CAD SupportTransferable from Auto CAD to printer Provide SoftwareSoftware needed for final output/rendering included Network ConnectionMust have network connection ability Printer SizeTo fit on a table (less than 4' tall and 36" wide) Resolution1/100" Warranty1st year maintenance included (software/hardware/labor) / phone support a plus MaterialsPlease include itemized pricing and quantities for all materials necessary for startup. TrainingTo be included on site DeliveryOn site delivery and setup by vendorThe FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing responses to this announcement. Therefore, any costs associated with a response to the RFQ are solely at the interested vendor's expense. This procurement will have a dollar threshold between $10,000 and $100,000. Proposals will be reviewed through tiered evaluation selection process. In accordance with AMS policy 3.6.1.3.4 procurements within this dollar threshold will be set a side for SEDB 8 (a). A tiered evaluation of offers will be used in source selection. Once offers are received, the CO will evaluate a single tier of offers according to the order of precedence specified below. If no award can be made at the first tier, the evaluation will proceed to the next lower tier until award can be made with ample competition. (a) Socially and economically disadvantaged business (SEDB) expressly certified by the Small Business Administration (SBA) for participation in SBA's 8(a) program.(b) Service-disabled veteran owned small business (SDVOSB);(c) Very small business;(d) Small business; and(e) Other than small business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 423430 [Computer and Computer Peripheral Equipment and Software Merchant Wholesalers]. Vendors must complete the attached Business Declaration Form and return with quote submittal. Socially and economically disadvantaged business (SEDB) expressly certified by the Small Business Administration (SBA) for participation in SBA's 8(a) program must submit proof of participation. All potential vendors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry website (www.ccr.gov) for consideration of this award. OFFERS ARE DUE NO LATER THAN Thursday, January 26, 2012.
