- Description
- This synopsis provides notice of the Government's intent to solicit a proposal on a sole source basis from GE Aviation, 1 Neumann Way, Cincinnati, OH 45215-3730 for Engine diagnostics and data analysis support. GE Aviation has proprietary rights to the license and technical data of the engine performance algorithms that pinpoint engine performance anomalies. GE Aviation developed these algorithms through a collection of data during the original CFM56-2A-2 engine certification, and were further refined by collecting data analysis for more than 13,594 CFM56 engines currently being monitored within the GE trending and diagnostics database. This requirement is to procure Engine diagnostics and data analysis support for trending engine performance parameters, analyze parameter shifts, recommend maintenace actions, track health of engines for future removals and allow government personnel to produce customized reports. It is anticipated that a Fixed Price, baseyear plus four one-year options will be awarded. The Government intends to procure the above under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, interested parties may submit a proposal in which they identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. The Government will consider all information received by 2:00PM EST 3 February 2012. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
