Description
This announcement is NOT A SCREENING INFORMATION REQUEST (SIR) or REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP). Furthermore, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS) 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the FAA's decision to contract with Lockheed Martin Corp. via single source procedures. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) William J. Hughes Technical Center (WJHTC) intends to award a non-competitive contract to Lockheed Martin Corp, under the Simplified Purchase Method to provide the Terminal Services Group in support of Terminal Field Operational Support Group to purchase twelve (12) Rackmaster AP-1 Chassis (Part Number 7413009-00, NSN: 5895-01-53-1811) with REQUIRED internal components and hardware specifications used by the FAA Terminal Field Operational Support Group. The FAA data acquisition and control software and hardware systems were configured to operate with Rackmaster AP-1 Chassis. There can not be any substitutions to any of the components or offering of alternative chassis units. The chassis and its internal components such as the motherboard have come to end of life. Lockheed Martin Corp. is the only known source that can supply the remaining units. A competitive solicitation is not available for this procurement. If your firm does not agree with this single source determination, please provide evidence of your firm's capability and experience in delivering such services outlined above and the FAA will evaluate that information accordingly. All responses must be directed to Jason Kuo via email (Jason.kuo@faa.gov) by 1PM Eastern Standard Time, on Friday, January 23, 2012. The FAA will not pay for any information or any administrative costs incurred associated with any response to this announcement.
