- The Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division, China Lake, CA, intends to procure, on an other than full and open competition basis from The Boeing Company, Route 291 & Stewart Avenue, Ridley Park, PA 19078-1099, a three year contract to provide Contractor Engineering Technical Services (CETS) to instruct and train Department of Defense (DoD) personnel in the installation, operation and maintenance of H-46 aircraft systems and equipment at various sites in support of Naval Air Technical Data and Engineering Service Command (NATEC). The Boeing Company is the developer and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the equipment to be supported. This effort includes instructing and training DoD personnel in the operation and maintenance of the H-46 helicopters, associated support equipment and providing logistic support and inventory control of repair parts. The Boeing Company is the only source available with the requisite data and specific technical support personnel knowledgeable of this equipment to support the effort mentioned above. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any firms believing they can fulfill the requirement of providing the services for the H-46 aircraft system as mentioned above my submit a written response by 3 February 2012, which shall be considered by the agency. The written response shall reference solicitation N68936-12-R-0065 and must clearly demonstrate the capability to respond to this requirement without detriment to the H-46 program and must include personnel specifically qualified to provide the services described. Written responses shall be submitted by email to kristin.ferguson@navy.mil or mailed to Commander, Code 210000D (K. Ferguson), NAVAIRWARCENWPNSDIV, 429 E. Bowen Rd. Mail Stop 4015, China Lake, CA 93555-6108. The RFP will be posted on or before February 2012 and award of this contract is expected to occur in June 2012.
