- The Samuel S. Stratton VA Medical Center (hereafter "The VA" or "VA"), located at 113 Holland Ave., Albany NY 12208, intends to release a invitation for bids (IFB) numbered VA528-12-B-0180, for a project entitled "Emergency Electrical Upgrades Phase 2A & 2B" during the week of March 5, 2012. The VA intends to release this IFB with competition restricted completely to Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses. The applicable NAICS code will be 238210, "Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors" with an applicable small business size standard of $14.0 Million. The estimated construction value of this project falls within the range of $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Bid, performance and payment bonding will be required to respond to this IFB once released. Unless additional notice is given or this notice is modified, the full IFB will be posted to the Government-wide Point of Entry (www.fbo.gov). This is a pre-solicitation notice synopsizing an upcoming competitive solicitation to satisfy the requirements of FAR 5.201 and 5.203.
