Description
1. ALL QUESTIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED IN WRITING VIA EMAIL TO: MADELYNN.WHITTINGTON@NAVSOC.SOCOM.MIL OR NATALIE.RODRIGUEZ@NAVSOC.SOCOM.MIL *****INDUSTRY DAY FORUM***** An Industry Day forum is scheduled on 26 January 2012 to discuss the upcoming requirement for the Naval Special Warfare Center (NSWCEN) Preparatory Course. The forum will be held on at 0900 at the Naval Training Center (NTC), 320 Evans Ave, Building 520, Great Lakes, IL. This acquisition is a competed 8(a) set-aside in accordance with Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act (15 USC 637(a)(1)) and the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 19.8. The designated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 611699. Background : The mission of the NSWCEN Preparatory Course is to train, mentor and coach prospective NSWCEN SEAL and Special Warfare Combatant-Craft Crewman (SWCC) candidates in NSWCEN-specific core physical and mental skills; culminating in higher physical preparedness as indicated by successful completion of an elevated Physical Screening Test (PST) score. Since success in the NSWCEN training programs is significantly higher for physically prepared students, the objective of this course is to positively impact the historically high attrition rate evident in the selection phase of NSWCEN training. The Performance Work Statement (PWS) is designed to provide high quality preparatory training for NSWCEN students by professionally and technically experienced training and support personnel. These personnel will execute the NSWCEN Preparatory Course curriculum, thus mitigating current manning pressures on the NSW force. Attendees will need to notify MCPO Bryan Beiriger to make arrangements for pick-up at the NTC Visitors Center if you do not have base access. MCPO Beiriger's email address is: Bryan.Beiriger@navy.mil and phone number is: 847-688-6201 Ext 221. Please cc: Natalie.Rodriguez@navsoc.socom.mil and Madelynn.Whittington@navsoc.socom.mil NOTE: The government will not reimburse respondents for any costs associated with this Industry Day.
