Description

The US Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS), National Conservation Training Center (NCTC) in Shepherdstown, WV intends to award a purchase order to Allen Press, Inc of Lawrence, KS for a unique workflow with a total publishing solution including composition, design, PDF creation, on-line hosting and XML tagging on two journals - Journal of Fish and Wildlife Management and North American Fauna. A customized IT secure interface will link the products and services together to create an Author-to-Reader Workflow via an existing manuscript tracking system. The period of performance of the proposed contract shall be for one year from 01/01/2012 through 12/31/2012. The proposed contract is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. However, all proposals received within fifteen days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
