The Statement of Work (SOW) defines the requirements for the contractor to remove rubber on the runway at Homestead Air Reserve Base, Homestead, FL. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: The work covered by this contract consists of, but is not limited to, the furnishing of all plant, labor, services, tools, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision and all miscellaneous requirements needed to perform all operations in conjunction with the effort to accomplish the Scope of Work noted in the Bid Schedule below. All work shall be completed in conformance with applicable sections of the attached Environmental Protection specification, the project specifications, project drawing, Federal, State and Miami-Dade Department of Environmental Management (DERM) codes and regulations, and OSHA requirements. RESTRICTIONS: This solicitation is set aside 100% for SBA Certified Hubzone Firms. This acquisition will be made under NAICS Code238990 with a size standard of $14,000,000. BID SCHEDULE: Solicitation is for a contractor to provide all plant, labor, services, tools, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision and all miscellaneous requirements needed to remove rubber deposits from the runway in areas indicated in the drawing and as described in the Statement of Work (SOW) at Homestead Air Reserve Base (HARB) in Homestead, FL. Provisions and clauses are included in the attached solicitation, and prospective bidders must comply with the same. SITE VISIT: A site visit is scheduled and attendance by interested contractors is HIGHLY recommended. Date and time of site visit is 31 January 2012, 9:00AM, Homestead ARB, FL. Contractors will gather at the base pass office and be escorted onto the base for a preliminary meeting prior to visiting the site. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: The anticipated period of performance for this requirement is 30 days after contract award. The government will award a contract resulting from this synopsis/solicitation to the responsible SBA Certified HubZone offeror with the lowest price whose bid is submitted IAW the requirements/instructions set forth in the attached Request for Proposal.
