- Description
- The USDA, ARS, U.S. Vegetable Laboratory, 2700 Savannah Highway, Charleston, SC 29414 intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Steris Corporation, Mentor, OH 44060, pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1)-Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This request is for the annual preventative maintenance contract for three Autoclaves for the following items: 1) 20 in. CENT GP SD 208V CAB PWR VERT DR STERILIZER, Serial #012120205, 2) 20X20X38 CENTURY GRAV STR, Serial #010100218, 3) 60 INCH CENT VAC 480V SD OH CAB, Serial #013200601. The renewal period is March 01, 2012 - February 28, 2015, base year with two option years. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability. Respond to this requirement by submitting written capabilities/specifications to the Purchasing Agent at the address stated above. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responses received within 8 days from the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no affirmative responses are received within 8 days of this notice to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, an order will be placed with Steris Corporation. The NAICS code/size is 811219/7.0M. This procurement is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in conjunction with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and is not expected to exceed the Simplified Acquisition threshold of $150,000.
