- The Norfolk District is offering for sale approximately 8,790 Cubic Yards of pine and hardwood timber harvest brush piles located in 13 piles at Fort A.P. Hill, Bowling Green, Virginia. The material should be removed prior to Dec 31, 2012. The total number of items for this sale is One (1). The piles to be sold may be inspected by prospective purchasers on February 1 2012 starting at 10:00 a.m. Arrangements for this inspection must be made by contacting Mr. Paul Carter, at (757) 201-7822 or Mr. Larry Capelle at 804 633-8409 at least 24 hours prior to the tour. Sealed bids will be accepted until 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 16, 2012 by the Acquisition, Management, and Disposal Section, Real Estate Office, Norfolk District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, 803 Front Street, Norfolk, Virginia 23510-1096, and then and there publicly opened and announced. Forms for use in submitting bids may be obtained from Mr. Carter or Mr. Capelle at Fort A.P. Hill or from the Acquisition, Management, and Disposal Section, address shown above. Terms and conditions of sale, procedure for submitting bids, and a description of the material are contained in the bid forms. This is a LUMP SUM SALE.
