- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for a continued maintenance agreement for the thermalanalysis system from February 1, 2012 to January 31, 2013.NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from TA Instruments because TA Instruments is theonly vendor able to provide us with certified, genuine replacement parts designedspecifically for our instrumentation, as well as the TA certified training in installingand maintaining our instrumentation.The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing Janicea McCree at 301-286-9159 or Janicea.L.McCree@nasa.gov not laterthan 4:30 p.m. eastern time on January 30, 2012. Such capabilities/qualifications willbe evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct thisprocurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to competethis proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to thisnotice, is solely within the discretion of the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable.
