- J&A The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, Herman Miller/ID&A, Inc., 855 E. Main Ave, Zeeland, MI 49464-1372. This procurement is a add-on to existing furniture that is currently under warranty. Add-on furniture has to be installed by the manufacturer, Herman Miller, or dealer in order for the warranty to remain effective. As such, this requirement will be conducted on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (1) and FAR 13.5. This Agency intends to enter into a firm-fixed-price contract with Herman Miller/ID&A, Inc., for installation and configuration of new office furniture located at Desroches Hall, Feistner Hall and Hunter Hall at Fort Campbell, Kentucky; other services include technical design, specification services, and electrician. The NAICS code for this procurement is 337214 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. This sole source requirement will be procured under Other Than Full and Open Competition procedures and awarded on an unrestricted basis. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE OFFERS and a solicitation will not be issued; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirement may give written notification to the Contracting Officer No Later Than 23 January 2012, 1500 hours CST. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement listed. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion for the Government. If no responses are received, the government will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Herman Miller/ID& A, Inc.
