- MOJAVE FIRES HERBICIDE TREATMENT - BLM ELY DISTRICT (ELY, NV) The Bureau of Land Management is requesting vegetation treatment services on selected sites administered by the Ely District (see attached map). The work consists of applying the herbicide imazapic in select locations for hazardous fuel reduction on BLM administered lands. The work shall consist of application of herbicide with contractor furnished property at the locations shown on the work location maps. The objective is to apply imazapic on approximately 2,867 total acres within and surrounding three of the 2011 Ely District Fires located in the Mojave Desert to hinder the establishment of cheatgrass and red brome. The Contractor/Applicator shall hold a current Nevada Professional Applicator License in the Agricultural Pesticide Category. A copy of the license must be submitted with the quote to be considered for award of a project area.
