The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 81130 with a business size standard of 7.0M.This is a Negotiated Procurement is pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulations Part 15. Scope of Work Includes: This is a service maintenance contract for the property of and located at Ellis Island and Liberty Island. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, and equipment. All work will be in accordance with ANSI A17.1 (Elevator and Escalator Code) and Manufacturers recommendations with the requirements of the contract, to maintain (3) three passenger elevators, and two (2) two escalators located at Ellis Island; (2) two passenger elevators, (1) one emergency service elevator and (1)one platform lift located in the Statue of Liberty Monument at Liberty Island. Two passenger elevators both of which are geared, and the (2) two escalators located in the Main Building at Ellis Island were manufactured by United Technologies OTIS Elevator Company at 750 Third Avenue, New York, New York 10017; telephone (212) 557-5700. One passenger elevator which is (hydraulic) is located in the Bakery & Carpentry Building on Ellis Island is also manufactured by United Technologies OTIS Elevator Company. The one passenger elevator (hydraulic) at Liberty Island was manufactured by National Elevator Corporation at 63-69 E. 24th Street, Paterson, New Jersey 07514; (201) 279-1220 (Existing) and a (New) one (1) MRL Traction Elevator manufactured by Motion Control Engineering (MCE) 11380 White Rock Road Rancho Cordova, CA 95742, 916-463-9200. One (1) Rack and Pinion Emergency Elevator, manufactured by Tower Elevator Systems, Austin, TX, 512-266-6200. One (1) Wheelchair lift, manufactured by Mobility Elevator and Lift Co. West Caldwell, NJ, 973-618-9545. The contract includes base plus 4 option years. The Government reserves the right to exercise optional work within the subsequent contract.In accordance with FAR 5.102, availability of the solicitation will be limited to electronic medium. The solicitation will NOT be directly provided in a paper hard copy format or CD ROM. In accordance with FAR 5.102(a)(7), the availability of the solicitation will be limited to the Internet. When the solicitation is issued, the address for downloading the solicitation from the Internet is as follows: http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Downloading from the Internet is free of charge. Hard copies (paper sets) of the solicitation will not be provided by the Government. Notification of any change to this solicitation (amendments) shall be made only on the Internet. Therefore, it is the contractor's responsibility to check the Internet site for any posted changes to the solicitation, plans and specifications. The acquisition package will be issued on February 1, 2012 and the date for receipt of proposal is 1:00 P.M. EST on February 15, 2012 at the NPNH MABO Office, 210 New York Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10305, Attn: Procurement Office, Lori Achkar; or by email at lori_achkar@nps.gov or fax at 718-354-4553. The estimated cost for this procurement is between $500,000.00 - $1,000,000.00. Be advised, failure to register in the CCR makes an offeror ineligible for award of contracts. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration system in order to receive contract award. As a security precaution, vendors must register themselves through the on-line CCR system. Instructions are contained on the website for downloading solicitation and attachments. Contractor awarded this contract will need to be listed on the Central Contractor Registration website at www.ccr.gov and have a current active registration.
