- THIS IS A RE-POSTING OF THE INITIAL SOLICITATION THAT WAS CANCELLEDDUE TO TECHNICAL ISSUES. The Department of Navy, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, Pacific(SSC PAC) issues this Request for Proposal (RFP) N66001-12-R-1007 forthe assembly of 100 deep water fairings. The fairing assembly is the combination of a buoyant deep water fairingcoupled to latch housing. Each fairing's maximum weight shall be 18.6lbs plusor minus (+/-) 0.2lb with a positive buoyancy of 3.00lb to 4.00lb in saltwaterand must maintain at least 1.0lb of positive buoyancy to a pressure of 267psiin sea water for at least seven (7) days. These units were previously procured under contract to N66001-03-D-0005, LBI,Inc. 973 North Rd. Groton, CT 06340-3272. This is a 100% set-aside for small business, with a firm-fixed-price (FFP) pricing arrangement for100 units. The applicable North American Industry Classification System(NAICS) Code is 332999- All Other Miscellaneous Fabricated Metal ProductManufacturing and the small business size standard is 500 employees. Thesolicitation will only be available electronically. Electronic copies of theRFP maybe obtained from the SPAWAR E-Commerce website at https://e-commerce.spawar.navy.mil under SSC Pacific "Open Solicitations."
