- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs issues this Sources Sought Notice as part of market research seeking Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs) that can provide Architect-Engineer Services for the renovation of the 2nd and 3rd floors of building 402. Services include site investigations, analysis, design, calculations, cost estimates, preparation of working drawings and specifications, and construction period services, as-builts and site visits during construction are part of the scope. The company must have specific capability to design a complete healthcare renovation. This would include the services of certified and registered professionals. The area of consideration is restricted to firms located within a 200-mile radius of the VA Medical Center, Tomah, Wisconsin. SDVOSB A/E firms within the area of consideration are invited to submit a brief statement of capabilities highlighting previous projects that were designed by the SDVOSB firm (including what percentage of the work was done by the SDVOSB firm in-house) and any additional information which will document the ability to perform the required services identified above not later than COB January 25, 2012. Send the brief statement of capabilities to Daniel F. Burk at daniel.burk@va.gov. Firms should also provide documentation for how they would be able to meet the requirements of VAAR Clause 852.219-10, VA Notice of Total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Set-Aside, and perform at least 50% of the services within their own firm or other eligible SDVOSB firms given the breadth of disciplines required. Additionally, provide a point of contact in case additional information is required. This is neither a request for SF 330s nor a Request for Proposals. If there are a sufficient number of SDVOSB firms that are determined to be capable of performing the services required this acquisition will be set aside for SDVOSB firms when SF 330s are requested.
