- The purpose of this notice is to invite industry participation in the 3rd HUDNET Industry Day on January 27, 2012. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP), BUT AN ANNOUNCEMENT OF AN INDUSTRY DAY. There is no commitment by HUD to issue a solicitation, make an award, or be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties in support of this effort. BACKGROUND. This Industry Day will be the next in the series of early exchanges of information and communications being held with industry in accordance with FAR 15.302 related to HUD's future IT infrastructure services. HUD believes continuous communication with industry throughout the process will foster competition and result in better contracts and ultimately services to the Department. During this Industry Day, HUD will provide a status update on the HUDNet program to include more specific information on the requirements, schedule, and some preliminary information related to acquisition approaches anticipated. REGISTRATION. This event will be conducted in open forum; however, for security reasons RSVP is required. Due to space limitations, participation is limited to 2 participants per company. RSVP must be received by 1600, 24 January 2012, and must include the company name, business size, participant name, birth date, last 4 of SSN, telephone number and email address.
