- SYNOPSIS Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC), Arnold AFB, Tennessee has a requirement to inspect the compressor lube oil system on the York M-Type Compressor used in the RC12.1 refrigeration system to determine the source of oil carryover into the refrigerant (R134a). This work will involve troubleshooting the problem and repairing the leak as necessary. Inspection results and repair actions shall be documented in a report provided to the Government. The period of performance is up to 30 Days after award of contract. The solicitation will be issued in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). This will be advertised utilizing full and open competition. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238220 with a business size standard of $14,000,000 million dollars. A complete Request for Proposal (RFP) with detailed specifications will be available on or about Wednesday, February 3, 2012. Proposal due date will be on or about February 17, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. Central Time. The anticipated award date is February 23, 2012. The Request for Proposals (RFP) will be available electronically on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) web page at http://www.fbo.gov. No hardcopies, faxes, or emails will be available. Please review the solicitation and attachments for this procurement once the RFP is posted. Please register as a source to be notified of RFP Amendments, etc. However, it is the responsibility of the contractors (even those registered as a source) to check the FBO website frequently to ensure they have all available information. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for award.
