- Synopsis: This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought Synopsis (Uniforms). This is not a Request for Quote (RFQ) or a Request for Proposal (RFP). This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. The Department of Veteran Affairs, National Cemetery Administration, is seeking qualified sources to all materials, supplies, transportation, equipment and labor necessary to provide Uniform Rental Services for Government wage employees located at Gerald B.H. Solomon (Saratoga) National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville New York, 12871. The contractor shall be responsible for the cleaning and laundering of uniforms and protective clothing and shall repair any damages resulting from "normal wear and tear". The contractor shall also inspect all garments for minor tears, seam flaws, missing buttons, loose emblems, ect., prior to uniforms being returned. Uniforms shall be automatically replaced when they become worn through use or when a size change is necessary. There shall be no additional charge for the replacement of uniforms or for any changes in size. The delivery schedule will consist of uniforms being delivered and picked up on Monday each week between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. local time. Any deviation to this day, due to holiday, or weather will have to be approved by a government representative. The purpose of this sources sought is to determine interest and capability of potential qualified Small Businesses with the understanding that Service Disabled Veterans Owned and Veterans Owned Small Businesses takes presidency. The North American Industry Classification Code is (NAICS) 448190. To make an appropriate acquisition decision for this requirement, the Government will use responses to this sources sought synopsis. The type of solicitation issued and the manner of advertisement will depend on the responses to this sources sought synopsis. Submission requirements for response to this sources sought synopsis must have the following: "Contractor's intent to submit a proposal for this project when it is formally advertised.
