- This solicitation is for a firm-fixed price contract for the renovation of RIA-JMTC's Bldg 210 Annex Office Space. All work to be completed at Rock Island Arsenal, Rock Island, Illinois. Total square footage of the area to be renovated is approximately 7000 sq foot. This effort includes approximately 70% remodel of the current conditions (such as Flooring, Painting, Ceiling tiles, etc.) and 30% structural renovations (such as Demolition, Walls, HVAC, Information Technology (IT), Electrical, etc.). Contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, materials, equipment, tools, apparatus, testing, and transportation necessary to complete this project. Work for this project includes but not limited to is: carpentry, painting, electrical, flooring, ceilings, fire/safety (sprinklers), Information Technology (IT), and HV/AC. The Rough order of magnitude for this project will be $250,000.00 - $500,000.00. Projected date for project completion is 10 May 2012. Site Visit information will be provided in the solicitation but is anticipated to be held in early February. Only one site visit will be held for this project. Interested contractors are strongly encouraged to attend the scheduled site visit. While the site visit is not mandatory it should be noted that an offeror may have extreme difficulty in formulating an accurate bid on this project without first examining the site where renovations will take place and determining the existence of potential obstacles. All site inspections and / or measurements, which must be taken, are the sole responsibility of the contractor. This will be set-aside for 100% Small Business. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this notice is 236220. Size standard under this NAICS code is $33.5 Million. Estimated release date for the solicitation is 27 Jan 2012. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. Interested vendors may download copies of this action on or after the issue date by accessing the Army Single Face to Industry website. https://acquisition.army.mil All dates within this announcement are subject to change. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendment thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders' mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may have been issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid closing may render your bid or proposal non-responsive and result in the rejection. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the Government.
