The purpose of this Request for Offers is to seek competent and qualified contractors to perform all work associated the upgrade of two (2) RCAG antenna towers located at the top of Mt. Haleakala, Maui, Hawaii. Magnitude of construction is from $50,000 - 150,000. This project is set-aside for competition exclusively amongst small business contractors as certified with the Small Business Administration. The NAICS Code for this project is 237130. The Small Business Administration Size Standard for NAICS Code is $33.5 million. The total contract duration for completion of all work shall be 21 calendar days. Work for each tower under this contract includes but not limited to: Removal and disposition of existing ladder located inside the antenna towers.Installation of a new OSHA compliant (ladder safety system by Radian Ram rail) ladder outside the antenna tower - including concrete footing, as shown on the attached referenced drawings.Extension of the platformInstallation of toe-boards all around the extended platformInstallation of a new OSHA compliant platform's hatch double-door for new ladder; the hatch door must be flush with platform.Install six (6) antenna swing arms around the tower extended platform.Increase the top rail height to 42".Clean up and debris removal A mandatory site visit will be held on February 7, 2012. Offerors must contact Ira Farnoush to pre-register for the site visit. See B004. Site Visit - within the RFO. Only offerors that attend the site visit will be considered for award.
