- Synopsis THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. The Department of Veteran Affairs Milwaukee Regional Office intends to award a sole source procurement under Public law 109-461 to Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business AH West Group, LLC.. In accordance with the requirements contained in FAR Part 5 and under the authority of 38 USC 8127(b) and VAAR 819.7007. This constitutes the only announcement; and a written solicitation will not be issued. Description: The Department of Veterans Affairs, (VA), Veterans Benefits Administration, Vocational Rehabilitation & Employment Service (VR&E) has a requirement to perform construction services for home modification under the Independent Living program. The area to service is: Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. The VR&E Service requirement is as follows: Independent Living Program (Chapter 31). The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supplies and supervision necessary to complete residential home modification consistent with meeting the independent living needs of a disabled Veteran. Work to be performed includes construction and installation of a platform lift, bathroom grab bars, and a stair lift system. The VA intends to award this contract for the above-mentioned construction requirement to AH West Group, LLC. The contract will be a firmed fixed price construction contract. The period of performance for the awarded contract will be thirty (30) days, with an estimated start date of January 29, 2012. The dollar value of the award will be $18,616.00. THIS REQUIREMENT IS SOLE SOURCE FOR A SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED CONCERN. Award will be made on a sole source basis to AH West Group, LLC, a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), in accordance with VAAR 819.7007. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 236220 and the size standard is $33.5 million. The Classification Code is Y. Telephonic inquires will not be accepted.
