- The intention of this notice is to inform the contracting community that the Government intends to enter into a sole source contract for construction services with Armcorp Construction, Inc., 8511 State Route 703, Celina, OH 45822. The VA Medical Center located Ft. Wayne, Indiana intends to procure construction services for Project 610A4-12-177 located at the VA Northern Indiana Healthcare System Ft. Wayne campus. Project 610A4-12-177 consists of additional modifications to Building 6 after completion of work in the same area under Contract VA251-C-1059. The previous work in Building 6 was completed in December 2011 and is still under standard construction warranty by Armcorp Construction, Inc. As a result, the government intends to award a contract to Armcorp Construction, Inc., a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, for these additional construction services on a sole source basis. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition for this procurement is 38 U.S.C. 8127(b), as implemented by FAR 6.302-5 and VAAR 819.7007. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. All responses must be submitted no later than January 28, 2012, to the contracting officer at aaron.lacy@va.gov.
