- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Orlando VA Medical Center, located at 5201 Raymond St, Orlando, FL 32803, intends to enter into a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract on the basis of other than full and open competition for the acquisition of an Operating Room Integration System. In accordance with 38 U.S.C. 8127(c) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-5 "Authorized or Required by Statute" and Public Law (PL) 109-461, this will be a sole source acquisition set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). An Operating Room (OR) Integration System is used as a modern-day system to optimize space, efficiency, and intra-operative decision making. A centralized operating room minimizes complexity by integrating the several components of the operating room, such as insufflators, X-ray, ultrasound, video recorder, telephone, video printer, MRI, and other components, etc., so that the surgical team can operate the components from a single interface. This also allows for several operating rooms to be networked and provides for the expansion of communication and information within the surgical spectrum. This information can be viewed through several display panels through each operating room, and interfaces with our current electronic health records system to display vital information that can be accessed by the surgical team. The contractor shall provide all hardware, installation, programming, and set-up to 100% operating capacity. The OR Integration System shall be installed in ten (10) operating rooms, with audio and video feeds sent to ten (10) conference rooms, and an IP video monitoring station in the surgical director's suite. The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) Code/Size is 423450/100 Employees. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals.
