Description

DLA Aviation Richmond intends to issue an unrestricted solicitation to procure three (3) enclosed UHP Robotic Waterjet Coating Removal Systems. The systems will be used for removing heavy duty industrial coatings such as aerospace adhesives and plasma-spray from jet engine components measuring up to 9 feet in diameter. The project will include all design, fabrication, supplies, labor, accessories, software, installation, and training. The anticipated performance period is 250 days. A complete technical data package will be available with the solicitation which is expected to open on 1/27/12. The anticipated closing date is 2/29/12. QAP 208 is applicable for the requirement. Offers will be evaluated based on a lowest-priced, technically-acceptable basis. The award will be made as a firm, fixed-price contract. FOB at Destination and Inspection/Acceptance at Destination. A copy of the solicitation will be available via the DLA Internet Bid Board System (DIBBS) at https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil/RFP. This is a pre-solicitation notice only. The solicitation details (including the technical requirements) will NOT be available until the official solicitation is posted, which is estimated to be on or about January 27, 2012.
