Description
This combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial item(s) is prepared in accordance with guidelines set forth in FAR Part 5.101-2. This notice only constitutes the Request for Quotes. This solicitation is a 100% Small-Business Set Aside procurement in accordance with North American Industry Classification System (NAICS). The NAICS code for this is 336611. Description/Lagging for Engine Room: Company shall be responsible for manufacturing, measuring/fitting, and complete installation of exhaust blankets. These must be able to withstand extreme temperatures that are generated by the ships Main Propulsion Diesal Engines. Lagging needs to be long lasting, removable, reusable, and durable. These characteristics are usually found with heavy silica fabric material that is double coated in silicone otherwise known as thermal insulation jacketing. This jacketing shall also contain stainless steel wire mesh, which assists in contour and keeping insulation together. Jacketing needs to protect at all temps up to 1000-1800 degrees of steady use. End product must contain a quick install/uninstall mechanism such as stainless steel spring fasteners. Should be 1"-4" in thickness yet conforms to different irregular surfaces. Jacketing must be available in grey color. Contracting Officer will award Government Purchase Order with results of this solicilation to the contractor whose quote adheres to be most advantageous to the Government. Quotations should be written and submitted including the contractors DUNS number. Quotes shall be emailed or faxed with attention to SK1 Ronald Gormley, email-(Ronald.Gormley@uscg.mil), fax-(510-217-3513). All technical questions regarding work actions and/or specs shall be directed to CWO John Difrancesco at John.Difrancesco@uscg.mil. Vendor will be responsible for accepting Purchase Order in writing which will include a full understanding of specs and completion deadline according to CWO John Disfrancesco. Final inspection and acceptance shall take place at destination by Engineering Officer and/or Main Propulsion Assistant.
