Description

Notice of Intent for Sole Source of CAE INC for the purchase of Transesophageal Echocardiography module (simulator), Pathology packages (simulator scenarios) and a one year support and maintenance agreement from vendor. The Veterans Affairs James J. Peters Medical Center, Network Contracting Office (VISN3) intends to enter into sole source procurement Pursuant to FAR Subpart 6.302-1, with CAE Inc. Services will be performed for New York Harbor Healthcare System. Procurement requesting is an upgrade to our existing CAE Healthcare Vivmedix transthoracic echocardiographic simulator. This upgrade consists of an upgrade to the "BoB" second generation mannequin, three pathology packages and an extension of our current support, maintenance and update agreement. To our understanding, the Pathology Package, the hardware and equipment upgrades are not made by any other company. This notice is not a request for proposal and no solicitation will be issued. Any firm that believes it can provide the stated service can provide supporting documents demonstrating their products capability; and specifications by January 18, 2012; 1:00pm.
