Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, VISN 6 Network Contracting Office (NCO) is conducting market research through this sources sought notice to help determine the availability of qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses to provide brand name or equal to BAXANO neurosurgical spinal procedure instruments. Neurosurgical Instruments (IPSI probe 90, Contra Probe 45, Micro Blade Shaver 5.5mm instrument, Micro Blade Shaver 7.5mm instrument shaver, Micro Blade Shaver 10mm instrument, Micro Blade Shaver 12mm instrument shaver, distal handle, Ipsi Irrigation cannula, Contra Irrigation Cannula, catheter, NeuroCheck Device with Wire, iO-Flex Wire). These items are used in laminectomies, geared towards minimal surgical approach compared to conventional methods. This results in less surgical trauma, decreased operation time, quicker patient recovery. This requirement is for Durham VA Medical Center. The activity is requiring the instruments be placed on consignment to ensure availability for procedures. The period of performance will be April 1, 2012 to September 30, 2012, with four (4) option years. The NAICS code is 339112 and the Classification code is 6515. All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the Government. This is a sources sought notice only. This is not a solicitation and does not obligate the Government to issue a solicitation. The information submitted will be reviewed by the Government technical representatives for considering future requirements. Responses to this notice should include the following: name and address of company, business size, and any other pertinent information which demonstrates firm's ability to meet the above requirement.
