Description
This sources sought notice is for market research purposes in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10. It does not constitute a solicitation and is not to be considered as a commitment by the Government. This sources sought notice is a Request for Information (RFI) before the release of any resultant solicitation. This is not a request for a proposal and does not guarantee the release of any solicitation. IT Research Subscription Services 1.Background: The Veterans Health Administration's (VHA) senior leadership is in need of IT research subscriptions to provide access to analysts and industry experts in the area of business and technology management processes. Many changes and key decisions will be made as the VHA's processes are being implemented within the Agency. New business processes that support the Veterans Administration's (VA) strategic goals and mission will be redefined and implemented. Access to extensive research such as on-line research databases will enable VHA leadership to make knowledgeable and informed decisions that affect implementation of their business needs and processes to ensure that their requirements and needs are being fully met and that services to Veterans are enhanced. SCOPE OF WORK: Access to IT focused research and tools needed to fully understand healthcare technologies, information management tools & technologies and the trends, directions and best practices to meet the increasing demands to quickly deliver the technology needed to serve our nations' Veterans. VA requires access to research on business requirements gathering, business requirements validation, and management of information Department wide. Some examples of VHA's research needs include: "Business Requirements Gathering "Business Requirements Validation "Consolidation and realignment best practices "Security and contingency planning to protect information and privacy across VA systems and networks "Project and program management "Integrated business and information planning "Program Performance "Facilitation of inter and intra governmental partnerships "Sharing best practices and lessons learned The following Information is requested in response to this RFI; - 1) Name of your company with DUNS #, identify Business size of your company, (Small Business, Large Business, Disadvantaged Business, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, Veteran Owned, Woman Owned or HUBZone) -2) Identify if offered as open market commercial and or GSA Schedule provider, list Schedule number if applicable. -3) Capabilities/Qualifications - Provide the following information for each functional area in the "REQUIREMENTS" section above. Who are your frequent customers? Provide point of contact. PLEASE LIMIT YOUR DOCUMENT TO 10 TOTAL PAGES -4) Please include contact information, including the name of the point of contact, email address, and telephone number for your company -5) What is the normal length of a contract for the services described above? This notice does not restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach. All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response is not a request that will be considered for contract award. All interested parties will be required to respond to the resultant solicitation separately from their response to this sources sought notice.
