Description
Justification and Approval THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT, NOT A REQUEST FOR A PROPOSAL. A SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND PROPOSALS WILL NOT BE REQUESTED. The COAC Services Branch, Office of Acquisitions, DERA, National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI), NIH, for the Laboratory of Genetics and Developmental Biology Center (LGDBC), intends to award on a sole source basis, under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (Dollar Threshold of $150,000), as set forth in Far Parts 12 for the National Institute of Health, National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, a Firm Fixed Price award to TriKinetics, Inc., 56 Emerson Road, Waltham, MA 02451. Interested firms may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent to award is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received by the closing date, January 17, 2012 8:00 am Eastern Standard Time, will be considered by the Government. A determination to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will award a contract resulting from a combined synopsis/solicitation to the responsible offeror that is lowest price technically acceptable. The solicitation number is NHLBI-CSB-(HL)-2012-054-DDC and it is issued as request for quote (RFQ). This solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-55. The corresponding NAICS code is 334519 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The provision 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial, applies to this acquisition. The provision at 52.212-2 is not applicable. The Government desires the following items: 1. Item #PGT5x65, Pyrex Glass Tube, 5mm dia, 65mm length (set of 100) HTS: 7006002000, quantity 35 each 5. Item #SPLT5, 5-way Splitter HTS:8544422000, quantity 24 each 6. Item #CPLR, Coupler HTS 8544422000, quantity 4 each 7. Item #CAB10, 10'extension cable (305 cm) HTS:8544422000), quantity 4 each 8. To include a 12 month warranty 9.
