- This amendment to COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION Number D12PS00025 corrects the following under 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors under Price Proposal under Firm Fixed Price Services: FROM: This solicitation includes clause 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services. In the event that the Government has a need to exercise this option, pricing of this option must be established before contract award. Therefore, in addition to the Base plus each option period pricing proposal requirement described above, contractors shall also propose a monthly rate (per the deliverable schedule) that would apply upon the end of the Base and each option period should the Government need to exercise the 52.217-8 option clause. In accordance with the clause, the monthly rate proposed shall not exceed 6 months. To: For purposes of this contract, FAR 52.217-8 allows the Government to require the contractor to perform services at the same rates and within the same limits as exist within the contract period immediately preceding the exercise of FAR 52.217-8 for the term specified in FAR 52.217-8. Offerors must explicitly agree to perform under FAR 52.217-8 at the same contract rates and within the same contract limits as dictated by the contract for the period immediately preceding exercise of this clause. Offerors shall indicate in their price proposal that they explicitly agree to perform under FAR 52.217-8 at the same contract rates and within the same contract limits as dictated by the contract for the period immediately preceding exercise of FAR 52.217-8. Offerors shall acknowledge receipt of Amendment 2 in their proposal's cover letter by the hour and date specified in the solicitation. Failure to acknowledge receipt of Amendment 2 may result in the rejection of your proposal. The due date and time for responses (technical and price proposals) is extended to Tuesday, 17 January 2012 at 10:00 AM Eastern Time.
